Applying to the Sixth Form
ADMISSION TO THE SIXTH FORM
The school operates a Sixth Form for a total of 140 pupils. 70 places overall will be available in Yr 12. Whilst the admission
number is 1, if fewer than 69 of the school's existing pupils transfer in Yr 12, additional external pupils will be admitted
until Yr 12 meets it capacity of 70. Applications for the Sixth Form should be made directly to the school using the
application form available from the school office or from the school's website. Completed application forms must be
retuned to the school. We offer four pathways at Key Stage 5 and both internal and external pupils will be expected to met the same minimum academic entry requirements for the Sixth Form. Course requirements are published annually on the website.
First Priority will be given to Post 16 students who are baptised Catholics whether they have previously been
pupils of Blessed George Napier School or not.
Second Priority will be given to Post 16 students who are not baptised Catholics but who have a parent(s) who
Third Priority will be given to Post 16 students who are not baptised Catholics but who seek a Christian Post 16
Students are welcome from non-denominational or other faith backgrounds but must appreciate that a
positive Catholic message is fundamental to our Post 16 education programme, and as such all students are
expected to support our ethos whilst developing their own spirit.
